About this video
This page embeds a video review of the EM01 in its white colourway. The video is a short hands-on look rather than a long test, so the notes below cover what the mouse offers and who it suits.
What the EM01 offers
The EM01 is a thumb trackball: the ball sits under the thumb and the cursor moves without the hand travelling across the desk. That removes the reaching and wrist rotation a standard mouse demands, which is the main reason people move to this shape. The base can be set flat for a familiar grip or tilted to 20 degrees for a more neutral wrist angle.
Around the ball are a scroll wheel, forward and back buttons, a DPI button and a light button, plus three connection channels - one 2.4G receiver and two Bluetooth slots - for switching between devices. Charging is over USB-C, the RGB ring can be switched off, and the finish is available in white as well as black.
The adjustment period is real: fine control moves to the thumb, and lowering the pointer speed for the first few days makes the transition easier. What you get in return is a fixed footprint on the desk and less strain over a long day.
