About this video
This page embeds an unboxing video by NewManDIY. The video is shot without narration, so there is no transcript to summarise; it is a visual walkthrough of the EK01 arriving out of the box, unfolding and being set up on a desk.
What the EK01 is
The EK01 is a full-size split ergonomic keyboard. The key field is divided into two angled halves so the wrists stay straight instead of rotated flat, and the attached wrist rest supports the forearms while typing. It connects over one 2.4G receiver plus two Bluetooth channels, which covers three devices with a dedicated key for each, and charges over USB-C.
If you are deciding between a split keyboard and a standard one, the difference is posture rather than features: a split layout opens the shoulders and stops the forearms from crossing inward, which is the position most people adopt on a straight keyboard without noticing.
