Video summary
A feature walkthrough of the MECH K300, a full-size 104-key low-profile mechanical keyboard with an added control knob. The reviewer opens with the box contents - keyboard, manual, USB-A to USB-C cable and a keycap puller - and then works through the layout.
The knob is the part he uses most: turn left or right for volume, press to mute, with media keys beside it for track skipping and play/pause. The frame is metal over a plastic base, with two-level kickstand feet and five rubber pads underneath, a 2.4G receiver stored in the body, and a USB-C port plus a wireless mode switch on the upper left.
Connection options are wired, 2.4G and Bluetooth, with FN plus F1 to F4 selecting the mode and pairing up to three devices. FN plus O switches to a Windows layout and FN plus P to macOS. The battery is 1900mAh, the switches are low-profile red linear, the keycaps are rounded and concave, and the white backlight has 14 effects set from the keyboard without software. Optional software adds key remapping, macros and polling-rate control.
The MECH K300 has been discontinued. For a low-profile mechanical feel today, see our backlit keyboards, or browse the full keyboards collection.
