On Apple computers (iMac / Mac mini / MacBook Air), after startup or restart, when reaching the password entry interface, the Bluetooth keyboard or mouse fails to reconnect, preventing password input. How can this be resolved?

● According to official Apple documentation, if you have a Mac with Apple silicon or an Apple T2 Security Chip, your data is automatically encrypted. FileVault provides an additional layer of protection by requiring your login password to access the data. Official link: Open the guide

● On newly purchased Mac computers (iMac, Mac mini, MacBook Air), FileVault is enabled by default. While Bluetooth devices can normally be used to enter the password on the login screen at first, the system may restrict Bluetooth connections for third-party keyboards on the login interface after approximately 15 connection/disconnection cycles. Apple's original keyboards are not affected by this limitation.

● On older Mac computers (iMac, Mac mini, MacBook Air), FileVault is disabled by default, so this issue does not typically occur under normal circumstances. However, if a user manually enables FileVault, a similar problem may arise.

To disable this feature for MacBook Air, iMac, and Mac Mini, follow these steps:

  1. Open System Settings: Click on the Apple menu in the top-left corner of the screen and select "System Settings".
  2. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > FileVault.
  3. Toggle the FileVault switch off.
  4. Enter the administrator name and password to authenticate and unlock the settings.
  5. A confirmation dialog will ask, "Are you sure you want to turn off FileVault?" Click "Turn Off Encryption" to confirm.
  6. The system will begin the decryption process. It is crucial to keep your Mac powered on and connected to a power source until the process is fully complete.
  7. Wait for the decryption to finish. The time required depends on the amount of data on your disk.

On macOS, pressing the keyboard Fn key triggers one of the following actions: 1. Changes the input method; 2. Shows the emoji and symbols palette; 3. Starts dictation (when pressed twice). How can I disable this so that the Fn key performs no action?
  1. Connect Your Keyboard: Ensure your keyboard is connected to the Mac. The necessary controls are only visible when a keyboard is detected.
  2. To disable the previously assigned actions for the Fn key: Go to Apple menu > System Settings > Keyboard > "Press Fn key to" or "Press 🌐 key to" > Do Nothing.
On iPadOS, pressing the keyboard Fn key triggers one of the following actions: 1. Changes the input method; 2. Shows the emoji and symbols palette; 3. Starts dictation (when pressed twice). How can I disable this so that the Fn key performs no action?

  2. Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Hardware Keyboard > Modifier Keys > Globe Key > No Action.
On macOS, why do the keyboard keys 7, 8, 9, U, I, O, J, K, L, M, and the period key (.), or the number keys (0-9) on the keypad, stop responding? How can this be fixed?

The keys may appear unresponsive because the "Mouse Keys" feature is enabled, which allows the aforementioned keys to control the mouse cursor's movement and clicks.

● To disable this feature on MacBook, iMac, and Mac Mini, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Pointer Control > Mouse Keys.
  2. Toggle the Mouse Keys switch to the off position.

● To prevent accidental activation of Mouse Keys, it is recommended to also disable the keyboard shortcut that turns it on, follow these steps:

  1. Find the setting for "Mouse Keys" and click the options or settings icon (which may appear as a right-side icon or an "Options" button) next to it.
  2. In the settings window that appears, locate the option that "Press the Option key five times to toggle Mouse Keys" and toggle off this option.
  3. Click "OK" to confirm the changes.

● To disable this feature on iPad and iPhone, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch > Mouse Keys.
  2. Toggle the Mouse Keys switch to the off position.
  3. To prevent accidental activation of Mouse Keys, it is recommended to also disable the “Option Key Toggle”.
Why does the power button on the keyboard (for keyboards that only support Apple systems) not respond when clicked on Apple systems (macOS/iOS)?

For macOS: Pressing and holding the power button for more than 1.5 seconds on macOS will bring up the shutdown prompt.

For iOS: On iOS, if the setting "Press Side Button for Siri" is enabled, pressing and holding the side (power) button for more than 1.5 seconds will activate Siri. Settings Path: Settings > Siri & Search > Listen for "Hey Siri" > Press Side Button for Siri > On/Off
