What was reviewed
The ProtoArc XKM01 Tri-Fold Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse Combo packs a full-size 105-key keyboard and a compact mouse into a folding travel kit. The keyboard folds into three sections, pairs with up to three devices (one 2.4G dongle plus two Bluetooth channels), and uses low-profile scissor switches. The mouse stores its USB receiver in a compartment underneath, and both devices charge over USB-C. The kit also ships with a carrying case and an adjustable stand for a phone or small tablet.
What the reviewer liked
- The whole kit is genuinely small and light enough for an everyday carry backpack.
- Build quality of the keyboard felt solid, and pairing was quick: one key per device, with LED indicators for power and connection mode.
- Battery life held up well over the review period, and unfolding the keyboard switches it on automatically.
- The included stand worked well for phone use, and the combo takes very little desk space.
What the reviewer would change
- No flip-out legs, so the keyboard sits flat; the reviewer wanted a raised typing angle.
- Keys, especially the space bar, needed firmer presses than expected for consistent input.
- The mouse shape and click feedback did not suit the reviewer for long sessions.
How to read this review
Comfort with a folding keyboard is personal: typing angle, key feel and mouse shape all depend on hand size and how you work. If you mostly type in short bursts on a lap or a small tray table, the flat layout and compact footprint are the point. If you need a raised deck for long writing sessions, a folding keyboard is the wrong tool and a split ergonomic keyboard on a stand is the better fit.
