Have You Ever Tried Controlling Your Mouse in a Different Posture?

Try gently turning your wrist sideways from its flat position on the desk, as if you were about to shake someone’s hand. Doesn’t it feel more comfortable?

When your wrist moves from lying flat to a more natural side-grip position, your forearm no longer has to stay constantly twisted inward, and the pressure on the base of your wrist is reduced. When we use a mouse for long hours every day, this small change can help our hands feel more relaxed and comfortable.

Based on the core pain points we discovered through user research, we began a six-month process of targeted design optimization. By analyzing users’ muscle movement patterns through motion-capture technology, we refined the hand model 16 times, adjusting its size and form again and again until it felt right in the hand.In the end, these refinements shaped the final form of the ProtoArc EM11 Pro Ergonomic Mouse.

Valuing Individual Differences, Designed Especially for Medium-Large Hands

“There is no standard answer to comfort.” — Founder of ProtoArc

“We design for individual differences.” — Product Designer at ProtoArc

After the previous-generation EM11 NL reached 1.2 million units in cumulative sales, we listened carefully to what our users were telling us: many medium- and large-handed users wanted the mouse to be slightly larger, the palm rest to feel fuller, and the grip to feel more secure.

So with EM11 Pro, we did not simply scale the mouse up. Instead, we invited 60 heavy office users to take part in real-world testing scenarios, and refined the model through 16 rounds of optimization — all to find a more effortless grip shape for medium-large hands.

No Two Curves Are Quite the Same — Shaped to Fit the Hand

Every curve has been repeatedly refined based on the real structure of the human hand.

At the thumb web area, a U-shaped cutout and a gentle inward slope provide fuller support between the thumb and index finger.

The center of the palm is supported by a richer, more raised arch.

The enlarged tail gives the outer palm, ring finger, and pinky a place to rest, reducing repeated friction against the desk.

This also brings us back to the original meaning behind the name ProtoArc: Proto represents a return to the natural origin, while Arc represents the natural curves of the body. We respect every curve of the human body, and through every round of refinement, we hope to find the greatest possible comfort.

Web-Based Customization and Side Scroll Wheel, Made for More Efficient Work

The ProtoArc EM11 Pro also comes with customization features. Simply open the web page, and you can set each button according to your own habits and workflow.

No driver download is required, making the process simple and convenient.

With the side scroll wheel and side buttons, browsing wide spreadsheets and web pages horizontally becomes much easier.

58° — A Comfort Balance Verified Again and Again

Using motion-capture technology to analyze users’ muscle movement patterns, we found that at 58°, muscle signals were the most stable, and the hand remained in its most relaxed state.

When the angle is below 55°, the thumb web area does not receive enough support, and the palm can easily feel suspended. When the angle is above 65°, the mouse becomes too steep, requiring more control for clicking and precise movements.

That’s why the 58° design of the EM11 Pro finds the best balance between skeletal relaxation, thumb web support, and operating precision.

Comfort in Every Detail, with a Fine Texture That Helps Prevent Slipping

During the iteration process, we also found that smooth surfaces could become slippery after long periods of use. So we tested more than ten different material and texture solutions, and finally selected an anti-slip textured grip design to ensure a stable and comfortable hold across different usage scenarios.

After optimization, the contact area between the EM11 Pro and the palm increased by about 15% compared with the previous generation, helping to distribute palm pressure more evenly. Active finger force was reduced by about 30%, making long hours of office work more comfortable.

More Than Comfort: A Smoother, More Focused Workflow

Beyond its ergonomic form, the EM11 Pro is also designed to make your workflow more efficient, focused, and seamless.

With Bluetooth and 2.4G dual-mode connectivity, 500mAh long battery life, multi-device connection, and six adjustable DPI levels from 800 to 4800, it helps you move smoothly between tasks, screens, and devices.
